Counting the Days...

So the countdown is officially now to six days or less. Yesterday the doctors office officially called me to confirm my induction and to give me the specifics, ie. be there at 7am, no food or drink after midnight, etc. I think knowing that I am going to be induced makes me more nervous than if he just started coming on his own. The anticipation of waiting for a drip of medicine to start horrible pain in my body just is not very comforting somehow!
This last weekend I finally chopped my hair off to chin length. I butchered my own bangs too, but think they look okay after they have settled down some! I feel a little less fat this way. I really wanted to grow my hair out, but being as pregnant and fat as I am it just made me feel like a blob.
A couple of weeks ago we took the boys to a college hockey game and they loved it. It was fun to do something out of the house for a change, but man those little seats in an arena are NOT comfortable for a normal person, let alone a fat pregnant woman with long legs. I was ready to leave by the time the game was done, but it was fun while it lasted.
Last Friday we went to a friend of ours two year old birthday party. It was a spiderman party and they had lots of fun. They got spiderman masks that Owen has refused to take off of his head since he got it. He even took a couple of naps in it, until I finally got tired of that and made him hang it from his bedpost when he laid down to sleep. He doesn't wear it on his face though, he wears it on the top of his head all day long. It's really cute and funny. He is the type of kid that gets very attached to a small toy and carries it around everywhere with him. Besides his spiderman mask, he is currently carrying around a small plastic crocodile kazoo that he got in a meal one time and recently found in the bottom of the toybox.
And now for the baby update: I have my next appointment today at 1:00 and I am officially being induced on the 5th of March, but this morning I am NOT feeling good and I have a lot of pressure and quite a few contractions, so maybe he will come today! I'll keep you all posted.
Have a great weekend!

QUICK UPDATE...

I JUST LEFT MY OB APPOINTMENT AND I AM 1 CM DIALATED AND 70% EFFACED. HOWEVER, SHE HAS RECOMMENDED THAT WE TRY AND BYPASS THE 29TH AND HEAD TO THE 5TH OF MARCH, WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE WITH ME! SO I'LL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED, NOW THAT THERE IS NO SET DATE. HE WILL BE HERE BY OR ON THE 5TH, NO LATER THAN. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day was a lot of fun yesterday. Over the course of this week, we have done a few fun projects. First of all, Owen had to decorate a box or bag to take to preschool this Friday for his Valentines Day party. So of course you can't do anything like that without letting Raymond do one too. So I cut a heart shape out of the front of two Triscuit boxes and they got to paint them, put stickers on them, and glue buttons and other odds and ends on them. They had a ton of fun and the boxes turned out really cute. But once again...when kids make this type of thing, what do I do with them once they are done being used. I could NEVER throw them away, but do I keep EVERYTHING my kids make or do? Hmmm. I just need a system.
Then yesterday we had our daycare Valentines Day party. The kids all made cards for someone special. We glued stuff on it, colored them, and used stickers, etc. The kids had a lot of fun with that too. In the morning, Owen and Raymond got a breakfast treat (a v-day cupcake), then during nap time I made them each a Valentine by hand, plus all the daycare kids.
Today at Owen's preschool party it was also Pink day. They usually wear that color on their themed color day, but of course Owen doesn't have any pink shirts, so I put him in a red shirt with a cut out of a pink heart with the word pink on it. Then I safety pinned it to his shirt. He thought it was funny.

Onto other news: I go today once again to the OB, so we will see where we stand. I am sure, however that Judd will be here on the 29th, even though I really wanted to go into labor on my own, for a number of reasons. I will definitley keep you posted though. I am now 37 weeks along, so he can come at anytime. But at most 14 days from now! I can't wait to meet him.

Circus Fun

For all of you who have been nine months pregnant, you know that it wipes out much of your motivation to do anything and turns you into an unrecognizable copy of your self. At least in my case, I am an unorganzied, lazy monster, who just wants to enjoy my leisure time. I call myself a monster, however, because I feel like that is how others perceive me. I get impatient when someone wants me to do something and pulls me away from my comfortable mind numbing meditation of sitting on the couch. So I am proud of myself this week. I have emerged out of my cacoon of meditation and once again have joined the world, no matter how uncomfortable it is to get up and walk around with a baby hanging in my pelvis! I think this is what they consider the "nesting period", that resurfacing into the real and conscious world. I have actually gotten back on track (a little) with cleaning and helping Tony with the boys and dogs and have even planned my curriculum for the next few weeks for the daycare kids.

This week the daycare kids are in for a fun filled week! In the midst of the snowy winter I am taking them on a journey to fun-filled places, in my own living room. It is our "Fun Places to Visit Week". Yesterday we had a circus day. It was so much fun and the kids loved it. We walked the tight rope, we tamed lions, we WERE lions and tigers, we juggled, we were acrobats, and the most fun of all - we were clowns. I made them clown hats and noses and they wore them all day (without prompting!). They colored circus pictures, watched Dumbo, and made paper plate clown faces with balloon noses, which turned out really cute. I had to share my enthusiasm with the rest of you, on my reemergence into work and fun from my pregnant slumber.

The rest of the week is also filled with fun places to visit, today is Zoo day, Wednesday is Movie day where we will make our own home video and watch it, and Thursday is Library day where we will make picture books to take home about our week of travels! The kids are excited, and I am sure the the parents are relieved to know I am actually doing something with their kids again!
So I have mostly awoken and will hopefully stay this way for awhile. I am hoping for a smooth labor and delivery of Judd and a smooth recovery there after. I really hate being unorganized and my house being dirty - it angers me to all extremes, so I am looking forward to getting back to my old self and getting things back in order!
