Preschool Fundraiser

And so it begins...
The boys are only almost 3 and 4 years old and just barely a new part of the school population and I already get to help them participate in a school fundraiser. The nice thing about this fundraiser is that the amount of money the boys sell, 50% of that goes directly to pay for their preschool tuition, which helps us put two boys in preschool! So this year they are selling candles. I have posted these three pictures of the brochure of what can be purchased. Under each picture I will try and tell you as much about the product as possible since it is difficult to read the information from the pictures. If you would like to purchase something to help out the boys, you can make checks payable to Bethany Lutheran Preschool and send them to me at 3878 N. 65th Avenue, Omaha, NE 68104 before the end of September so I can get them turned in.
So browse around and let me know if there is anything that you want!

These candles are 7.5 ounces and have an approximate burn time of 40 hours. They have a cute little octagonal shape and a blue and white gingham lid. The scents that these come in are Juicy Watermelon, Spiced Orange, Apple Nut Muffin, Hawaiian Delight, Baked Apple Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Pumpkin, Raspberry Cheesecake, Blueberry Muffin, and Mulberry. These candles are $7.00 a piece.

These items are extra fragrance items. The Fragrance Charms are decorative items infused with lasting aromas. They come in the pairs as shown. The two green decorative squares are the Medallion Fragrance charms and they are infused with sweet vanilla, the apple and chicken pair are the Country Casual Fragrance Charm and they are infused with Baked apple pie, the two Christmas cookie ones are Holiday Cookie Fragrance Charms and they are of course infused with gingerbread, and the butterfly and floral pair are the Garden Fragrance Charms and they are infused with fresh gardenia. This is $10 for a pair. They would be great to hang in the bathroom or kitchen as decoration and to keep it smelling yummy.
For $9.00 you can purchase lotions and shower gels in the fragrances of Sugared Citrus, Almond, or Lavendar.

For $10.00 you can purchase Room fresheners for your car of a room of your house. They are like fragrance cards. You can get these in the fragrances of Linen Fresh, Mango Cooler, Green Apple, or Jasmine Vanilla.

Lastly there are these designer candle jars. They are $12.00 a piece and are 12.5 ounces with an approximate burning time of 60 hours. They come in the fragrances of Baked Apple Pie, Fresh Cotton, Cranberry Orange, Honeydew, Pineapple Mango, Rose, Plumeria, Vanilla, Cinnamon Spice, and Pine.

Thanks for any help that you might be able to give the boys. If there is anything that you are interested in you can comment directly to this post, e-mail me or call me with orders. Keep in mind that 50% of what you purchase goes to pay towards the boys' preschool tuition.

Just wanted to draw everyone's attention to the fact that there are 4 posts all new posted today, so keep reading down! Plus a fun video below of Judd laughing for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

More Judd!

I know I know, give someone else a chance! Once again, here is a mini-picture feature of the many faces of Judd.

This is one especially for Aunt Kimmy, sucking on my toes!

Oh wait...that's right...Judd only has one face...a smile! I'm not lying, he is never not smiling.

Finally Air Show Video!

See the two posts below this one for more air show stuff. Here is the video of the Hornet! SO COOL!

More Air Show

Here are more fun pictures from the air show. Read the post below for more pictures!

Air Show!

Saturday for some free fun, which we love around here, we went to the Offutt Air Force Base Air show. I was like a little kid before Christmas, I was so excited and so were the boys. Tony wasn't nearly excited enough. It was a beautiful day, about 80 degrees, a slight breeze, a little overcast and the perfect day to sit outside and watch the planes.
I knew the boys would love it and I knew I would love it so we had a lot fun. I love military life. If I could guarantee I would NEVER have to fight in a war, be stationed overseas or be away from my kids, I would join the Air Force in a heart beat. But of course I can't guarantee any of that I'm sure, so it's not really in the cards. However, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sounds of the bomber planes, like the Hornet in the video I've posted below. I love how loud they are and how cool they are. They can defy gravity at all costs! They can virtually stop and start in midair, do a vertical climb in a matter of seconds and it's SO cool! I would love to fly one of those even though I'm scared to fly. :)
So I've posted pictures of the boys and some of the planes that we saw! Plus I've added a very short video of a Hornet during it's part of the show. Enjoy!

The Magic of Laughter!

Now everyone knows how good laughter is for the soul. Imagine having the cutest five and a half month old cracking up at the slightest touch. That is magic for your soul. No matter how much of a bad mood I am in, the smallest smile from him or any of the boys makes me melt. I can be the most tired mom in the world in the morning, but when I go check on Judd he always looks up at me with a huge smile, because simply he is just that happy to see me.
It's so nice to have people so genuinely happy to see me. It makes me feel important, special and loved. I couldn't imagine a better feeling. I know most of my posts are about Judd lately, and don't get me wrong all of my boys are the light of my life, but Judd is the one in a rapid development movement! He will be crawling and sitting up within the month I think, and he is working hard on getting his first tooth. What an over-achiever!
Anyways...my baby is so special and makes me smile every time I look at him, that I wanted to share some of his magic with you! So enjoy the simple pleasure of laughter!

Setting the Trend...

This year August 8 was the most popular day to get married. Wedding sales went up for that date 213% from last year. Tony and I however set the trend. We were married on that date 5 years ago now. Lots of people were celebrating our wedding anniversary this year and honoring us by getting married on our wedding date and even the Olympics helped us celebrate! -HA
Reflections on the last five years:
Tony and I have been very busy the last five years. We moved from Laramie, WY to Omaha, NE then got pregnant with Owen a month after getting married, then moved back to Rock Springs, WY four months after moving to Omaha. In Rock Springs we ran the Motel 8 and had Owen and then got pregnant with Raymond when we decided that we wanted to be closer to family and Rock Springs is the weirdest city in the whole world, so we moved back to Omaha where we have remained for the last three years. So to sum up our five years we have moved three times, lived in seven different places, had three kids, two dogs, owned two houses, had seven jobs between the two of us and had lots of stress. Overall though it has been a great five years. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else and having a better father for my boys. Hopefully things will just continue to get better as we grow older together.

Celebration:
We don't have a lot of money right now due to some kids leaving my daycare and growing up, so my mom was nice enough to drive six hours from Missouri to stay the weekend with us and watch the boys on Saturday for Tony and me to spend the day together. We decided to go to a place for lunch called California Taco (a little Mexican dive featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive In's and Dives), then we went Downtown to the Old Market and walked around and looked at the Farmers' Market and got ice cream, then we went to the Durham Heritage Museum to walk around, then we made dinner for everyone (Tony's brother JB and his wife were in town), and then the four of us went bowling that night while my mom watched the boys once again. It was a fun stress free day that was just hanging out and going on a "date".
The boys had a lot of fun with their grandma and I appreciate her coming all this way just to babysit! :) Love you mom.

Future:
My goals for the future is to find more time to spend together since we both work a lot of hours, find more time to go on dates and just hang out, find more time to spend together as a family, pay off our debt so we can relax a little financially, and watch our family grow!
